Hunger and undernutrition are fundamental challenges facing our planet today. Eliminating both is key to ending extreme poverty and to achieving multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). But significant knowledge gaps related to eliminating hunger and undernutrition must first be addressed for effective and cost-efficient action.
Compact2025 is an IFPRI-led initiative that will work to fill these knowledge gaps and help to guide countries in developing and implementing strategic actions for food security and nutrition. The initiative will promote knowledge sharing and innovation; support evidence-informed policies and experiments; mobilize a data revolution; facilitate country-led strategies and investments; and strengthen inclusive and accountable partnerships.
The nutrition success stories brought together through Nourishing Millions will contribute directly to the knowledge base and lessons that Compact2025 will build to support countries, institutions, and initiatives for the elimination of hunger and undernutrition by 2025.
